Renewal for my Eagle Scout needs to happen by 12/31/25. My scout turns 18 on 1/4/26. He is then no longer considered a scout but has to register as an adult. Do you suggest I wait until he turns 18 to renew or renew with the troop by the 12/31/25 date? How does that work with payment of what he owes? I know the national scouting fees are $165 for the scouts and $65 for adults; just trying to figure out which to pay for him. Thank you.
This is a question you need to address to your district or council staff. The folks here don’t have insight into the fees issue. We’re all volunteer scouters.

An individual can’t register as an adult until they are an adult.
