I am Advancement Coordinator for two troops (boys & girls). I am able to create a custom advancement report for the girls in Scoutbook Plus, but when I follow the same process for the boys, the report either fails or creates a blank report with no scouts. I was able to create the girls’ report between failed attempts to create one for the boys, so I am not sure what the issue is. Our Scoutmaster also got a blank report when he tried.
I am working in an incognito window to avoid browsing history/cookie issues.
@AshleyWorth - what are the selections being used for the report ? Are the scouts listed in the designer page ?
I am using the format suggested by Troop Web Host. We back-up the scouts SB records to TWH a few times a year.
If you are doing the whole troop it is probably way to large of a report. TWH has no idea what they are talking about. And Scouting America has multiple backups. But uncheck the Empty requirements and it should work fine.
Here is part of the report set-up I saved. All of the patrols are listed and checked, and the scouts in them are checked.
@AshleyWorth - uncheck the empty requirements check box and try.
@AshleyWorth - well seems like TWH needs to come up with a better method
I would turn of anything not needed - Icons, Descriptions, Current Rank, next rank, eagle palms
I reduced the amount of boxes checked and was able to create a report, but it crashed when creating the CSV. All other attempts have failed.
@AshleyWorth - are you running this against the entire unit? Again I think twh has to come up with a better solution
@Stephen_Hornak I am trying to run report that Scoutbook Plus is set up to create. Whether our unit chooses to save it with TWH, in Google, or even locally isn’t an issue. We were able to run the report for our similarly sized girls’ troop and save it as a CSV. Is there a setting in our Scoutbook account that could be causing the problem for one unit and not the other?
Thanks
It is usually the size of the report, we have asked devs about timeouts. Try doing the report for just one patrol at a time.
