I have approx 30 Cubs that are no longer associated with my unit. They have moved away. I keep ending their membership so that we do not send them emails and they stay gone for a little while then repopulate back into my roster. This has happened 4 times. How do i permanently remove them?
My membership number is 125420689
their bsa memberships are expired.
@ChristopherWilliams6 most likely their memberships are still in your unit - have you (or a Key 3) looked at the my.scouting.org Roster? that is the official real roster list. If they are not on that post a Scout BSA # (no name) and we can take a look.
They are on the roster, but their memberships expired one and two months ago, but they keep repopulating
when will they drop off my roster? We have a large unit and it clutters the dens when they are gone.
Would have to see BSA #'s to give any kind of real advise - it is best to just make one Inactive Den and lump all in there for now
I know that there has been discussion on other threads about “extensions” that have been applied to the grace period after expiration to facilitate individual renewals. As Donovan said, it’s hard to be certain without specific BSA ID numbers, but this sounds like you’re getting caught by this “extension”.
There’s presumably a balancing act between units whose scouts are falling off the roster “before they realize they’ve expired” and units who have scouts who are still on the roster (even if expired) long after the scouts have decided either not to continue or have moved.
