I’m not sure if this is a bug or always worked this way. I’m running a roster report to prepare for renewals and credits from our popcorn sales. I’m missing Scouts who have “No Rank” in Scoutbook. In the report designer, a den with all “No Rank” Scouts is not even in the list of dens to include in the report. Other dens with ranked Scouts are there, but a “No Rank” Scout in those dens does not show up in that den list to include in the report.
@NathanGreer not sure I understand - what do you mean a No Rank Den? And What Report are you trying to use? Report builder or Roster Builder?
I’m using Roster Builder Manager. By “No Rank” I mean that is what Scoutbook is listing as their rank. In past years this would have said Bobcat by now but that is no longer a rank. I was editing a report from last year but it is the same if I build a new one. Our Lion den of all “No Rank” Scouts does not show up in the list of dens to include in the report. I can look at the den in Scoutbook and see the Scouts in it. They all are all listed as No Rank. I mention that because I assume that is the key to that den not showing up in the report list. I am also missing one of the Tiger dens, which has a single No Rank Scout.
@NathanGreer not sure how you are getting renewal info - but I would uncheck Ranks - and click Show Sub-unit
I’m not getting renewal info in the report, just saying that’s my purpose for getting our list of Scouts. It doesn’t matter what report fields I include or exclude. The list of dens does not change. See the attachments for our list of dens in Scoutbook and the list of dens in the Roster Builder.
OH - I kind of see what you are saying @NathanGreer - do you have a minute for a screenshare to see it
I’m seeing new scouts who haven’t earned ranks. I’m wondering if this is more of a connection issue. If you click on the Lion den in Scoutbook, do you see full name or just first name, last initial?
I do not see the full name for the No Rank Scouts. I am not in a Scoutbook role that gives me automatic access to everyone. But I feel like I should be able to have them in a roster report even if it gives me blank info on the detail fields due to the lack of connection. I have also found another Scout (new to the pack but transferred in) who has a rank and that Scout also is not showing in the Roster Builder list. I do not have a connection to that Scout so that must be the key here.
So, is this working as intended or does it make sense that I should be able to run a roster report Scouts and see all of them despite connection/no connection?
This is working as intended. You need to have a connection to the scout to access their data in roster builder.
