RSVP links are not working properly

I created an event and requested rsvps. The included link sent from Scoutbook contains an encoded space %20 that is messing up the URL in the email as seen below. The result is a 404 error.

Could we get this fixed?

That’s really weird. I just got a reminder Monday night that works fine (i.e. doesn’t have the %20). I just clicked-through after I saw your post to make sure, and it does work.

I also have recently received links that worked fine. What email provider you using? Mail client?

Have others in your unit had the same issue?

@PhilSmith - my RSVP links are also fine. The %20 represents a blank space in a url.

could be on newly created ones - will test

@DonovanMcNeil - roger that… will stand down :slight_smile:

@PhilSmith was this a delayed reminder send - I tested with remind now and it was fine

There was a send now set and a send 1 day before.

Ok, I can recreate. If I put a description in the event that contains multiple paragraphs of text or a return character, it will put an extra space in the URL for the invite link. 595 characters will place a space in the URL. Is there a 500 character limit that we are overflowing?

@PhilSmith nope - are you using a map URL or something? I did 768 words - tons of returns

@PhilSmith I will send you a direct message > look at top right Avatar to find it > it will be a green dot with a number 1 > it will be a private message channel with select members of the Scoutbook User Advisory Council (SUAC)
