SB+ Messaging Adults Grayed-out

I was looking at the messaging interface in SB+ this evening, and the list of Parent/Guardians at the top of the list is grayed-out and appears to be treating them as youth (since there’s a notation “no guardian with email” (which should be the expected case for adults).

However, scrolling down to the youth, the adults appear there with their scouts (or alone for those who are just scouters).

Not sure if it’s still on the TBD list or was believed fixed. In any case, it’s causing confusion. For reference, Member IDs for a couple of involved adults are:

137551409
137551416

If y’all need a complete list of the adults (it’s a mix of scouters, parents and individuals who are both) please advise and I can get the rest of the Member IDs.

This is a known issue. The problem is caused by the adults having both Parent of and Scout of connections to their Scouts. Run a roster report on your Scouts and select the two Relationship settings under Scouts. This will show you the Parents/Guardians of the Scouts and will indicate those that have “bad” connections. Your Council will need to fix these by removing the invalid Scout of connection from the parents.

@edavignon - this must have suddenly happened and interesting that it happened to a leader with no youth in the unit along with a couple of parents who are also registered in our unit.
