Excited to have messaging in Scoutbook plus. It will be annoying fixing /creating second parent accounts and linking to their scouts, but overall it’s a move in the right direction.
The “Dropped” scouts still appear in messaging. I need the ability to filter them out. They don’t want to get our messages.
(we “Opt out“ scouts who leave the program because there isn’t a better way to handle that situation in SB+. It looks like it’s now called “Dropping” in fact. I feel like there still should be a better way to remove people from the program, but this works as long as they stop getting email messages from this or automated calendar event messages!)
Can confirm I have many former Scouts/Parents showing up that were dropped in the past few months. And a former leader who opted out but can be selected to receive email.
It would also be nice to be able to select multiple Dens/sub units.
But that’s not as important as excluding people who dropped the program!
(I also noticed that some parent emails aren’t linked properly, even though if I run a report for adult emails I can get them no problem. Need to explore this a bit more)
Just sent a message to my unit and still seeing a lot of opted out Scouts and a former leader listed. I manually deselected each one I knew was no longer a member so I don’t know if they’d still get an email or not but it would be good to get this cleaned up.
