SB features missing in SB+ as far as I can find and other issues that need resolving:
- Merit Badge report by missing requirement. I can’t believe this isn’t there yet. Its a critical report for a large troop to get a list of all merit badges with scouts having outstanding requirements. This is easily the most used report we had in old SB. It disappeared today from old SB and I cannot find its equivalent in SB+.
- Multi-Scout MB entry - Must have a way to quickly mark multiple scouts as starting (and finishing) a MB. As far as I can see this doesn’t exist.
- Mutli-Scout MB Req entry - MUST have a way to quickly mark multiple scouts as completing the exact same requirements on the same day….with comment application. This is mandatory. Without this summer camp goes from 50 hours to 300 hours for our troop. We’ll move away from SB+ if this doesn’t appear before next summer.
- Tab logout madness. You simply have to stop logging me out of every tab when one tab times out. I often have 5+ tabs open working on multiple things and this is overly aggressive to say the least. Its fine timing out one tab….but not the one I’m literally typing in actively.
- Same items appear in “need to be purchased” and “needs to be awarded” at the same time. Nothing not already marked as purchased should ever be able to get marked awarded….this is an accounting nightmare waiting to happen for a large troop.
- The new PO system is a serious downgrade from the old one. Sorting has to be able to be done by both Scout and MB….at the PO. Not in some report somewhere. We need both PO types at the Scoutshop to work through the hundreds of MBs we process every COH. The shop pretty much demands it for us.

Merit Badge support is still in progress. Eveything in legacy Scoutbook is supposed to end up in Scoutbook Plus. For reports, use Legacy Scoutbook.
Tab logout. This sounds like a bug but I’m not sure how to reproduce this as a volunteer. If you can get a video that would help. The system should not timeout if you are actively using it but logging out all tabs when you do get a timeout is proper behavior.
Same items in To Purchase and To Award is the correct behavior. Some units have items on hand that can be awarded without needing to be purchased.
The default grouping for POs is by item type. You can change the grouping on the filter.
@JaredHeath - for the multi-scout entry there is unit quick entry in scoutbook plus. Additionally if the summer camp uses black pug there is an import that gets added via the feature assistant.
Will there be an option to open PO to Scoutshop? This was so much easier than doing the local PO via email and calling back and forth.

@DavidGrotenberg - there is a recently noted issue with the PO system. Watch the change log for a fix.
As I mentioned….the reports were gone in Legacy Scoutbook entirely yesterday.
I see they are back today….I wonder if somebody broke it and fixed it
What feature assistant are you talking about? The chrome plugin? I thought that only worked for Legacy.
You don’t have to purchase items on a purchase order….I do it all the time.
I don’t see any PO filter anywhere. All I see is a download option.

I’m talking about historical ones. I didn’t even mention my most recent PO that doesn’t even appear anywhere anymore because it got created in Legacy a few days before our transition….its just out there in limbo somewhere.
SB+ knows about it, has its number…but you can’t actually see it anywhere.

The reports tab in Legacy Scoutbook sends me directly to Scoutbook Plus - and no ability to print (or even look at) a report for each scout on their advancement/merit badges/etc. When I try to ‘build’ a report, if gives me Scout names and ranks only - despite asking for merit badge, etc. The only reports I can get (though I am Advancement Chair) are for my own scouts. I realize this is 7 days after the original post - just looking for answers. Thank you in advance
