Scout connections to new scouts

our new member coordinator 13848799 who is also our secretary, tracks our health forms and helping with computer input for the troop is not connected to our newest patrol. What do I need to turn on for her to make sure this happens. Also where do we “clean up” connections we used to do in legacy? Also a scout has returned to our troop and was transferred in. She does not have connections to him either.

There are no “connections” in Scoutbook Plus. All access to Scouts is based on positions and permissions.

It sounds like your Secretary has a cache issue. Ask them to try an incognito window. If this does not work, ask them to post in the forums so we can provide direct help.

Another possible issue is that they may need to reset their filters in the roster to get the new patrol structure to appear. The reset toggle is often effective even if the settings look ok.

It’s just red text on a desktop (I think), although I’m away from a computer just now and can’t check.

@TammieZemler I think we need you to explain why you think/or what you are seeing - to think there are no connections, ???. What is the user trying to do that they cannot. Understanding that we might be able to help.

The whole concept of needing to set connections no longer exists. If the user is a leader in a unit they have the access their position or given permissions have automatically - there is no user intervention to connect Scout GF to a Leader.

What a leader can do is based on their registered position or what added permissions they have been given for the whole unit or sub-unit.. Some leaders (like Committee Members) cannot click on roster, as their non-specific position does not require that (there is a story to make a limited roster for user like this.). Some permissions (like Den Leader) - interactions with scouts are also dependent on the Scout and Leader both being assigned to the same Sub-unit.
