Scout forgot password, no longer has access to his old email account

I have a scout who no longer has access to the email address associated with his Scoutbook account and doesn’t remember the password he had set. What direction can I give him and his parents to get his Scoutbook account moved over to his new email address?

Post the Scout’s BSA Member ID (no names) and we can give you advice on how best to recover the account.

The Council can reset the password of the my.scouting.org ID which is the Scout’s icloud e-mail address. After the password is reset, he can change his e-mail address in both Scoutbook and my.scouting.org.
