Scout needs to be setup with advancement synch before you can approve any of his advancements. Any key 3 member or admin can setup synch for this Scout from his account page

Our advancement coordinator is getting this error for 3 scouts as she is trying to enter advancements

How can I get this resolved?

Go to the scout’s current membership, make sure the checkbox is checked, and click update.

Is this in myscouting or scoutbook?

In Scoutbook (legacy).

When I look in scoutbook I see the following message on each scots membership page
““Scout Name” has not been matched with a Scout in your Units official roster. Please check with your council.”

What are the BSA member ID numbers for the Scouts?

Have you tried following Jacob’s instructions (above)?

In Scoutbook (legacy):

  1. Go to each [Scout]'s Membership page.
  2. Click on the Scout’s current membership with their patrol.
  3. Make sure the box is checked next to “Position Approved”.
  4. Click “Update” to save.

@JenniferOlinger - I followed your above instructions and it did not solve the sync issue for our unit’s two scouts - both of whom have been active 10+ years. Both are not syncing after renewing their membership in December. Scouts #130789531 and 130789531. Both have the “Position Approved” box checked and a green checkmark appears by their names. Any additional suggestions? @BarbaraWells is our advancement chair who discovered the issue. Thank you.

These are both the same BSA member ID number. What is the second one?

Sorry about that! 130789682 is the second scout. But they both look to be syncing as of this morning?
