Scout with duplicate memebership

Hi, I have a scout with two, nearly identical, memberships. They’re both “correct”, but having the duplicate creates a few problems. The scout got two charges for dues because they’re listed twice in the Payment Log screen. Also, when assigning them a leadership position, I had to choose one of the two identical memberships.

They both have the same start date and both have empty end dates. The only difference I can see is that one of them indicates that they were “Reassigned by SB UserId [scoutmaster’s id]”.

I wanted to end one of them on the same date as it started, but was warned that it would eliminate any leadership positions from that membership.

Can a Scoutbook admin merge these two somehow without losing the information? If so, what information do I need to provide?

Post the Scout’s BSA Member ID (no names) and we will investigate.

His number is 137273563. Thank you.

You can safely close the membership that has the comment “Reassigned by…” It is identical to the original membership and since it is on the same SB account will not cause any issue.

Thank you! It appears to have worked as hoped.

The Scout’s TG position was ended. If this was not intended, go to his leadership page and remove the end date. You may need to go back into the leadership after removing the end date and approve it again.
