I cannot seem to find anywhere to select the Calendar Editor for Youth position anywhere in the ScoutBook settings. I see this topic referenced throughout the forums, but many of the links appear to be dead - possibly referencing pre-Scoutbook Plus.
Has this capability been removed? I have a Troop Scribe who wants to begin taking on these duties, instead of an adult. Can someone point me in the right direction, please? Thanks!
Using Scoutbook Plus Calendar (SB)(IA) - Scoutbook Knowledge Base
In Legacy Scoutbook > Scout Profile > under Leadership > there is a calendar Editor Position
We have a scout in our Troop serving as Scribe. We would like for him to enter events into Scoutbook. I have given him the Calendar Editor role in Scoutbook. However, when the parent attempts to give the Scout access to his own account in Scoutbook, the parent gets a message that says it can’t be done because the scout is under 13 (he is still 12, turns 13 in July). Do you know of any workarounds for this?
@BrendonHoch Has the parent tried creating a my.Scouting account for the Scout? They should try to match to the Scout’s already existing member ID number.
Now that my.scouting.org is checking DOB for scouts and not allowing scouts under 13 to create their own account, youth under 13 will not be able to use Calendar Editor role.
That will make it hard to register a Scout who is currently 11 to for Jamboree 2026 (minimum age is 12 to attend)
Were you trying to create an account for a registered Scout or one that is trying to register? There may be a difference in how the system responds to < 13 youth.
All they have to do at my.scouting is click this Radio? Simple @JillBarr
Well, “Invited” was a Scoutbook Process. This my.scouting process is the way it has been for years.
