A feature to allow any user to opt out of all messages (e-mail and text) from Scoutbook has been added. When a user opts out, they will not receive any e-mail or texts from Scoutbook except for forgotten passwords and usernames.
To opt-out, go to My Dashboard → Administration → My Account → E-Mail and move the Messaging Opt Out slider to the right. A confirmation dialog will be presented. Next, press Cancel.
When one or more members of a unit has opted out, a warning is displayed at the top of the Send Message page and the user’s entry will be marked with “No Emails”
To restore the ability to receive messages, the user just returns to their e-mail page and turns the Opt Out slider off.
