Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I have parents that are correct in Legacy Scoutbook, but are not showing up linked on Scoutbook Plus to their Scout.
For this one…youth BSA ID is 14465623. Grandparents are guardians and one is linked correctly in SB+. Grandma is not and is primary support for youth. Grandma’s BSA ID is 140200903 (non-leaders) and her birthyear is not entered but is 1969. How do I go about fixing this? If I create a new account and invite grandma again I’m afraid I will have issues with her email already being in use.
@KatieGooding the Backdoor fix is to have Council add the parents in Registrar Tools as a Parent Relationship . In takes 24 hours. If the parents show an MID in Legacy that would be helpful for Council.
@KatieGooding both the parents have MIDs - so in SB+ you should be able to go to Scout Profile - Click + - search for parents > make the relationship yourself. Then they get email to accept it
Thanks. I’ll take a look at this. We have submitted legal documentation regarding grandparents custody and death certificates for the parents over a year ago, so I thought our registrar would have already essentially made them a parent. But, I’ll see what I can do and try working with our registrar if I run into more problems.
