Scoutbook Plus Messaging for Parents in Troops Missing?

This might not be a bug but a functionality issue with migrated Messaging in Scoutbook Plus.

It doesn’t seem that parents can use the migrated Messaging in Scoutbook Plus to send messages. Am I missing something or were they planned to be left out for Troops?

I’m a key three delegate for our Troop and under Permissions Manager I don’t see parents listed under Messaging or Messaging (Youth) sections to grant them “Message Create” permission.

As I recall, we had that functionality in Scoutbook.

Thank you.

Scouting America is tightening up youth protections. As part of this work, unregistered parents will not be given the ability to send messages via Scoutbook Plus. Only registered leaders, who have all completed Safeguarding Youth Training, a criminal background check and been vetted by the charter org will be allowed to send messages.
