Scoutbook Plus Report Builder - SYT training for non-registered adults

Howdy,

Parents have my.scouting accounts and can take SYT but as a leader I have no way to check in on if they have completed or not. The report builder has an option to build a report looking at adult training, but if you select non-registered adults it does not report on their SYT status.

Technically every parent camping with cubs should have SYT, but I have no way to check!

Not that it’s a great work-around, but as an interim approach, you can use the Betty chatbot at my.scouting to check on the training status of adults (registered scouters or not) using the Scouting America Member ID and name for the adult.

oof. yeah that is useful but not great. would be very difficult to check all of them. thank you though.

Yeah. It would probably be easiest to export the parent names and Scouting America Member IDs to a spreadsheet, then log the expiration date in that spreadsheet as you recover it. Then, you can compare the expiration date against the end date of the event to verify that they will be current through the event. At least until the reporting is updated. Then, you only have to update folks as their training gets closer to its expiration date. Again, not an ideal solution, but likely workable for the intermediate term.

@_cranium - perhaps the scoutbook feature assistant can provide what you are looking for.

@_cranium in the ROSTER builder (not report builder) - if you click these you get the data for the MID the parent is in the system with

Donovan, you’re right! i had ran the report with those options but MISREAD it. Re-ran it and actually paid attention this time and see the data. Thanks for pointing out my error!

(slaps forehead) You’d think I remembered that by now.
