Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
When I am attempted to enter MB for (Admin removed name) ID number 141473220, it says she has opted out when I trying to put her in with the group. However I can go to her individually and it will let me put in her MB. Her is rechartered till December of 2026 and it sayes that her recharter is N/A. She is showing current in my scouting. How do I get this fixed?
@TanyaJernigan I assume you are doing this as an MBC - as you are not a leader in 8711? What do her unit leaders see in SB+ and in my.scouting.org roster - has she been opted out?
I am doing this as her scoutmaster from Troop 1113 Adventure West which is her primary troop. It will let me enter her MB in her profile however when I attempt to enter it under the advancement section it says she has opted out. When you are looking at the roster for Troop 1113 she does not have an expiration date.
yeah see right now - it is one BSA # per SB User. So there are 2 ways to handle it.
We can have 2 SB Users made for the Scout - BUT advancement will no match between the 2 - but then each unit would have the scout in Scoutbook as long as they are registered in the unit. The scout would just need to monitor that advancement is entered into the correct account or the units can work together to make sure advancement matches.
Or the Scout can have one user, and the Member ID # is just changed between the 2 MIDs - this is messier and needs more interventions.
This is the account number which should be in Scoutbook Plus. ID 137137633. This is her Adventure West one I am the only person who gives her rank and MB. The other troop is primarily just so she can do activities with her cousin. How do I get this changed in scoutbook?
Adding the secondary member ID under management is supposed to sync some advancement info between the two. I’ve not seen this work personally, but the developers say it does.
