Scoutbook Won't Record Advancement

I’ve been trying for a week to record rank advancement / merit badges and the record and finsh / save and record another remain grayed out and cannot be clicked to finalize. It’s not my browsing history or cache. I’ve been the advancement chair for 4 years and never had an issue until now. All my documents are up to date and I’m still listed as AC and listed in the charter renewal.

@ThomasLauton - what url are you using to record this ?

The link found on my weblinks in my.scouting.org. under BSA Web Links and then Scoutbook Plus

@ThomasLauton

Use https://scoutbook.scouting.org (Legacy Scoutbook) to enter Troop advancement.

There is nothing that says Legacy Scoutbook. I click Scoutbook and it takes me to Scoutbook Plus and to my roster to record advancement. Same problem.

The legacy Scoutbook URL is https://scoutbook.scouting.org. There is also a link in the left sidebar of Scoutbook Plus.

Where are you clicking on Scoutbook and being taken to Scoutbook Plus?

@edavignon - here is the link set from MYST

This is where your link takes me

@ThomasLauton

That is correct. To the right should be the link for your troop.

@ThomasLauton - are you listed as advancement chair in my.scouting.org ?

For the last 4 years. I just did a quick entry. Have to wait till tomorrow to see if it worked.

Having the same issue - been in this role for several years and was able to record advancement and merit badges as of two weeks ago. Something broke…

@AngelinaBriscoe - you can enter them for now in scoutbook.scouting.org

What is the next step after that? From there I clicked on my Troop->Troop Roster and it gives me a list of all Scouts and Leaders. At the top of this page it says that this roster is not official and it redirects me back to my.scouting.org. If I ignore this message and click on an individual Scout, I then get his profile, but I don’t see how to record a merit badge or rank advancement.

@AngelinaBriscoe - when you click on a scout do you see a line called advancement ?

Yes - so I have to click on “Thomas Advancment” and then start a new merit badge and then log it complete?

@AngelinaBriscoe - yes that would be correct… and you can look at what posted above by Donovan

So that’s a lot of clicks for every single merit badge - it used to be so easy. Is this temporary? I just had to log over 100 merit badges for our troop for one COH. There is no way I can do this role alone with this new process.

@AngelinaBriscoe - back up at the troop level is quick entry and you can use that. Please look at what Donovan posted…
