During this evening’s meeting we refreshed Scoutbook and one of our scouts first name has changed to “RandomJoe102” in Scoutbook. His profile in Internet Advancement shows the Scout’s correct first name. The Scout’s BSA number is 134492503.
Have you checked the nickname field to see if it was changed there? I think that impacts what’s displayed on the dashboard and roster in Scoutbook.
The preferred name in Internet Advancement is blank. I don’t see a nickname field or a field anywhere else in Internet Advancement or Scoutbook with this information.
Try adding the Scout’s real name in the “preferred name” field to see if that updates the nickname.

Excellent, I added his displayed first name as his nickname. After saving it was blank again in Internet Advancement, but it immediately changed Scoutbook back to his correct name. Thank you!

It actually looked like a username somehow ended up being placed in the nickname field to me. I hadn’t thought of someone having done it intentionally. That does make more sense. :^)
