Hi:
I have a parent account on My scouting, which appears to have information from when I was a boy scout 20+ years ago. I recently found that my oldest son, who is a Bear cub scout, is not linked to my parent account. This means I click on his link to renew, it won’t let me, but it also won’t let me register him a new account on the website, since I already have one.
My other son, who is a Lion, is connected to me and I can see his information when I’m logged in. Is there a way I can add my other son to my account? His number is 14156719; my Member ID is 14896598. Any help is appreciated.
@DavidYoung12 yeah nothing personally you can do - I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up your children. When they look up your children, they want to check your children’s “User Relationship” and make sure that your children are connected to you as parent with Only your correct BSA member ID number which you can log into - then wait 24 hours
This is actually not germane to the discussion at hand, @KorynWold. Connecting a scout to their own account is different from getting the parent/guardian connected to them for renewal purposes in my.scouting.
