Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Update: Problem solved. My issue was one of impatience. After waiting a few hours the calendars updated appropriately. Thank you to all who provided feedback.
I generate events as place holders and then come back later with added details such as agenda, location and time. After saving, this information shows up correcting in Internet Advancement, however in places such as Google Calendar where I have the URL linked, only the initial event is there without the updates.
This also applies to deleted events. We cancelled a hike due to weather. The event is gone in scoutbook+ but still shows up in google calendar.
@EricMcCormick - the calendar server sync is much like domain controller sync (they happen at 4hr intervals generally) and it is a rolling sync through time zones as a load balancing protocol. Internal updates are pretty much dynamic, subscribed calendars are parsed since it is a fetch operation.
