Thank you!,

I keep getting referred to the pdf document myst account setup.pdf and it doesn’t have any new information to understand what my issue is. I was originally attempting to establish his own account because that’s how I manage most of his entities online and institutional identities. Then after hitting barriers I did create my own account and somehow I paid for his scouting dues but I’m having difficulty associating his account.

I have verified my son’s account was created as a youth due to unable to access the support scouting forums. I have two browser windows open (one incognito mode) and my son’s account to verify and attempt to link/associate them.

Thanks for your assistance,
-Mike

@MichaelTallerday I think I found MOST of the info - is your scout a brand new scout?

@MichaelTallerday do you want to keep you Sign in with Google - or your username name log in?

NOTE: ULU 12525939 - 12530821

Hello Donovan, yes, my son is a brand new scout!, (enjoying the on-boarding process. yey.)

your note doesn’t seem obvious to me as a reference.(is it for internal relation to my memb. ID?)

can we use the google sign in? – and are there any ramifications regarding payment methods already used?

Thank you for the prompt reply,
-Mike

no will keep the Sign in with Google - after this your accounts will be MUCH more unified

@MichaelTallerday ok that is all cleaned up - also noticed some odd things with DOB on both Scout and your account you might want to check - important for Scout if they make Eagle - Important for you if you ever consider volunteering so accounts do not get messed up again - your Council can fix if needed.

@DonovanMcNeil , Thank you again for your assistance with this, I’m still having issues on my mobile phone when using the app to search for my son’s ID and info(Fname, Lname, ID and DOB). it says the “Oh no! we could not find a scout that matched the criteria entered. Please review and resubmit or contact support.” aside from his legal name that I created his account with and then his correct DOB that was recently established (today) does the member ID take awhile to do an overnight sync or something? – this was all brought to my attention by being directed to track recent activities we’ve been participating in on the mobile app.
-Mike

@MichaelTallerday if you log in with sign in with Google - you are already connected to scout - as you entered multiple DOB for your Scout like you were trying to obfuscate the data - that might be causing the issue. There is no reason for you to search. I would first use a web browser and go to scoutbook.scouting.org and see the My Family Section to see you are connected.

You will really never see your scout at my.scouting.org

Thanks it did get refresh, I must have been trying to initiate it to quickly or something. (per the discussion with my pack leadership – they were indicating my son would show up within the app) It shows my son is now connected.!

Thank you so much for your help on this,
-Mike

not the My Scouting App - there is a Scouting App that is Red parents can use

Thanks for the clarification on that, I really appreciate your patience. I just downloaded the red (icon) app and I’m looking into that now too.
-Mike

Use the same login @MichaelTallerday - and I would clean up the DOBs for future simplicity

Thank you, I will look into cleaning that up.
