"These members have opted out of the unit and will not be invited to this event"

So, in creating new events, I noted this pop-up. The problem is not the SCOUT or the UNIT SCOUTER RESERVE, we know they have left the unit (or set to).

The problem is that the middle name is my Scoutmaster, who is NOT leaving and did NOT, to our (or his) knowledge, opt out of anything.

He is not up for renewal until December 2025, so he and I are struggling to figure out what happened.

What does a Key3 see on my.scouting.org Roster for the user? @WilliamsburgScouter - there is an Opt Out column

As for the opt out, it is grayed out and is unclickable. I assumed this was because he is nowhere close to being in range for renewal (December 2025).

BSA ID is 12970281 if that helps chase this down.

There was an Opt out last year for Troop 20 - but it was renewed

Do I need to contact my council registrar to get this cleaned up?

Not sure - I did turn it in to see if it is catching that old one - personally I do not like that opt out warning
