This might not be the right place but i’m a new District Commissioner and I wanted to research how long the current Unit Commissioners have been serving so that i can work on awards for them.
What report can i run to see how long people have been in a position?
The only report that may have this is the “Unit Advancement Details Report” in my.scouting. The obnoxious thing is that it can only be run by someone in the persons traditional unit. Roster>checkbox by person> print>unit advancements detail report. Outside of that, the registrar could pull the data. That is all I know unless someone else has found something else.
Maybe? My council is pretty darn good at entering awards. Many others are not. Pull the report for yourself. Are your awards listed? They could be a good indicator.
My old CC had a solution for this. At the start of each year for anyone new on the committee, or when they joined, he would require each person to fill in a questionnaire that amounted to a guide resume. He would then use that for awards when nomination time came 6 months later.
It also shows up on the same report Matt mentioned (again, assuming the awards were entered). You have to select the individual(s), then select “Unit Advancement Details Report” from the pulldown menu once you have people selected.
I guess last question they recicived the arrowhead award but it says it was a training award and was dates in 2016 is that the same as the commissioner arrowhead award. Or would it say commissioner award vs training award?
Your Registrar can pull a Person’s Report from Registrar Tools. That will show all awards, training, any how many years they have been a registered leader.
It would be great if at least each person could pull their own. This would help with limited resources for people to self serve. It would be even better if each leader could pull the reports for those adults beyond the unit level to pull the report for people in their org (district. Commisioner to pull all commissioners and district chair to pull all members at large and district scouter reserve).
