I am the advancement chair for a linked boys and girls troop. There is an error in ScoutBook Plus and I am unsure of whom I should contact to fix this issue. For the girls’ troop you will see that there is a “to award” option that is missing from the boys’ troop. I need to clear out the merit badges that were previously awarded so that there will not be any confusion for our upcoming Court of Honor.
@DanielleBell You need the leadership for both troops to update your permissions in Scoutbook Plus. The permissions in Scoutbook (legacy) do not carry over into Scoutbook Plus.
@DanielleBell you are not Advancement Chair for either troop - that role for the Boys ended in 2025. Key 3 would need to re-establish that role if they want you to serve in that way, or work the permission so you can achieve what they want you to.
A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. CC fixed my role, but I still do not have access to this feature on the boys’ side and only on the girls’ side.
@DanielleBell nothing on your account or registration has changed that I see - it might need a 24 hour sync.
