Im getting the following error when trying to transfer my daughters and myself to a different troop (different council) at beascout.org.
“Failed to Transfer XXXXXXXXXX member ID: XXXXXXXXXX. Person has no valid parent/guardian relationship in our records. Please contact your local council registrar to update person’s information.”
Same error for XXXXXXXXXX ID XXXXXXXXXX

Trying to transfer from troop 5109 to troop 651.
I’m a registered adult and my daughters are under my account in scoutbook already. The error doesn’t make sense.
There was an issue a couple years ago… i had to get a new member id and merge them. I spent months working with the local council on that issue. This forum fixed that issue in minutes so I came straight here this time.
@CaseySchultz1 I don’t know if this is the root cause of your issue or not, but your “relationships” are messed up. You are a parent to yourself a couple different times.
I would recommend asking your local council to use their Registrar Tools to fix your relationships. After they fix your relationships, they should look up your children and check their relationships.
Is there any way for me to see or possibly fix the relationships?
I’m looking for any solution other than my current council, lol. It was absolutely painful trying to get registration help from them in the past.
I guess I’ll see if the council I’m transfering into can help but any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Those relationships can only be touched by councils - you can kind of see SOME at my.scouting.org > My Applications - but it depends on too many variables
