Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
I was recently made treasurer for our troop but I am not able to see, add or adjust balances for the scouts on scoutbook plus. Our account manager and troop leader set me as the account treasurer on scoutbook 3 days ago I should have these permissions by now.
Someone please help!
Are you part of the pilot troop program? We’re supposed to direct all pilot troop issues to the local council for escalation to national. If you’re part of a “non-pilot” troop, then almost everything we do (aside from calendar, profiles and activity logs) is still in Classic Scoutbook.
In addition to Stephen’s point about where the Payment Logs are accessed/functioning, I think you have to be connected to all of the scouts in Scoutbook. That’s not automatically done just by making you treasurer in Scoutbook, as far as I recall. A unit admin would need to manually connect you to all of the scouts (and then manually connect you to each new scout as they join). Alternatively, they could make you a Troop Admin, which should automatically connect you to all existing scouts and each new scout as they appear on the Scoutbook roster.
@JosephSedlak Unit Treasurer is also a My.scouting.org Functional Role - a Key 3 Should log into my.scouting.org > go to unit > go to Position Manager and make you Unit Treasurer. This gives more access in the Scoutbook System.
I believe that we are/ or were a pilot troop at one time.
Thank you for the explanation, that makes sense now. I have access to the adult payment logs, but not the scouts.
I will ask our troop admin to connect me with each scout. We discussed the option of adding me as a troop admin but thought we could only have one admin per account.
Either way, problem solved!
Thank you so much for your time, energy and quick response!
