Trying to add a Den Chief

I added a Scout to our Scoutbook legacy roster per what I read here on the forums. When I searched for him it brought up his record and I added him. I contacted his Scoutmaster to advise him he should get an approval message but he has not yet received it. After some review, the Scout in question is part of a Troop and Crew and it pulled in his Crew record as that was the only option presented to me at the time. How can we remove his Crew record and get his Troop record connected correctly?

The registrar at our council tried to remove him but it said she doesn’t have permissions and I have no option to put an end date on the record.

Sounds like 2 councils - what are the Member #s?

I believe they are same council but possibly not? His BSA ID is 133401868

Well that number has no Crew - it has a Troop and a Ship = not sure what you say “only option presented to you” - I cannot think of where a pack would be presented an option as it has no relevance

I’m sorry, ship is what I meant. When I added him as a Den Chief it did say Ship. Regardless, the Troop Scoutmaster did not get an approval to let us add him, I assume because it’s linked him to the Ship?

Long story short, HOW can I get him added? They have a meeting this week and he’s anxious to get started planning.

Did the Skipper get it?

Is the den chief process in plus or classic

I’ve no idea who that is, and according to the Den Chief, the Ship is a bunch of camp staff. Doesn’t sound like they do anything organized.

I initiated it in classic as that’s how I understood it needed to be done.

Just do it in SB+ - Key3 will see Add Individual in Roster

I never noticed that option before. So we can only add Den Chiefs through this option?

Other than Messages - there is very little left in Legacy for Packs

Looks like it pulled up the correct information. The Troop doesn’t actively use Scoutbook, so hopefully they can approve it. Thanks.
