I’ll look into this for you
You had 2 Scoutbook IDs. With last night’s fix, which I have asked to have backed out, you were logged in to the wrong one.
I merged your IDs and added your 2nd BSA Member ID to your my.scouting.org account as secondary.
@edavignon Awesome. Seems to be working right now. Thanks for your help!
Hello,
My son is also experiencing the issue with 2 SB ID’s. He can only log into the “bad” one.
@ChristopherCully that is fixed
Hello! I’m also receiving an error stating “another user is using this email address.” I recently moved to another Council. SB shows I’m still in my previous Council, but affiliated with both old, and new Packs. I figured if the Council issue is fixed, it would probably fix the multiple user issue. Can this be done? Thanks in advance!
What is your current Council?
Current is Great Alaska Council
I’ll fix this for you. It will take just a few minutes.
You had 2 Scoutbook accounts which I have merged. You can go to My Accounts → My Memberships and put an end date on your old council’s memberships so they no longer appear in Scoutbook.
@JenniferOlinger I also have the issue of the Google sign in problem and would like it to be resolved. I do not want to keep the Google account association.
Thank you for the help!
Melissa Carter
@MelissaCarter3 I only see one active username for you (with Google sign in turned on). It looks like you had another username, but it was retired.
You can log in at my.scouting and go to “My Account”, where you can switch back to “BSA Credentials”, if that is what you want.
You also had 2 Scoutbook accounts. They have been merged.
I have a new BSA troop parent who is also a parent of a cub scout. (One of her sons recently advanced to scouts and the other is still in cubscouts). When she logs into her account on scoutbook she gets a notification that another person is using the same email address. How can we help her to be able to see her cub and scout under the same scoutbook account? Her BSA id is 13723684. We’re in the CT Rivers Council. Thank you!
I have a parent who has 2 member id’s. One he is using and the other is pending. I think the duplicate pending ID needs to be trash canned but not sure. ID 140229789 is pending and ID 140182363 is linked to his scout’s account.
@LenoraBarnes the duplicate email was on Troop son’s account - whe made a log in for him with her email
@LenoraBarnes Her Scout in the troop also has Mom’s e-mail address on his Scoutbook account.
The Mom has multiple BSA member numbers. One has her Cubmaster registration, another has her Tiger Adult Partner registration. I would recommend that she contact the local council and ask them to combine her registrations under a single BSA member number.
I also recommend that the local council use their Registrar Tools to look up her children. In the “Relationships” section, she should only be listed there as parent under her primary BSA member number 13723684. They should remove her if she is listed as parent under other numbers. Otherwise, it’s possible that her BSA member numbers might get switched at Recharter.
The Mom also has 2 usernames at my.scouting. One has Google sign in turned on. The other is an e-mail address. She should pick one to keep, and we can retire the other one.
@DavidGray4 This parent has 2 usernames at my.scouting. One has Google sign in turned on. The other is an e-mail address.
If you could let us know which one he would like to keep, we can retire the other one.
Hi…thank you for your help! Mom(Jessica) would like to use her email…not the Google account. I contacted council to fix the other issue.
@LenoraBarnes She should log in with her e-mail address as her username – not the one with Google sign in turned on.
Now in scoutbook he only has on id 140229789. Can you tell me if this is the email or google sign in?
Thanks
