Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
We are trying to assign three adult leaders to our Pack. In all three cases, I get “no record found”, regardless of whether I search by member ID, email, name, or a combination of all three.
We are:
Cub Scout Pack 0103
Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4639
Historic Triangle
Colonial Virginia Council
The three adult member IDs are:
14821886 - She was previously a den leader. I removed that role, and she disappeared from our leader roster. I verified her membership and registered leader status in my.scouting.org
140806141 - I believe she might not have completed her registered leader training, but would appreciate a verification that this is the problem.
12481751 - I verified her membership and registered leader status in my.scouting.org
And when I go to add 14821886 as a den leader, I still get “no record found”. Following the directions at Scoutbook. Clicking on the den, “add leader”, then trying find the user with member id, email, name, or a combination of the three.
Click on the den in Scoutbook Plus then select Edit Den. Add the leader from the list of available leaders to the den. The is the preferred method.
In legacy Scoutbook, click on the leader’s name on your roster then click on that leader’s position link then click Add Position. This method will eventually go away.
Ahh, so that explains my confusion when I follow these directions:
Are those directions no longer accurate?
I’ve added 14821886 as an adult through your first recommendation (Scoutbook Plus > Edit Den). I moved her from “Available Adults” to “Adults in Den”. Does this make her a den leader? Is there a distinction between den leader and assistant den leader?
