Unable to connect leaders to edit advancement on our new scouts

I am an admin and key3 delegate with our Troop. I am working in the connections manager to attach our newly crossed-over scouts to our troop adults. It will only allow me to let the other members view their profile and advancement. When I try and connect the adult leaders so that they can edit advancement for the scouts - it does not allow it as an option.

What’s the problem?

There is a bug right now with the Connections Manager. We have reported it to the developers.
