Unable to Connect Parent to Scout in Legacy Scoutbook

I have parent who recently completed their registration as a Troop Committee member. This included doing his YPT. I can see him in my.scouting and legacy Scoutbook. I went into legacy Scoutbook to his daughter and tried to add him as a connection, but no matter what search combination I put in, it says that he could not be found. I’m using the exact information from his my.scouting profile that I can see as SM. His member ID is 141572825 and the council is Greater Yosemite.

Not sure why that isn’t working. The scouter should also be able to connect to their own scout with the scout’s name, Member ID and PII from the scouter’s My Connections. Up at the top is a red text that says something like Connect to My Scout as Parent/Guardian.

One other option try going to Connections Manager, and selecting the cell at the row/column junction between the parent and scout, then create any kind of connection between the two. Then, go to the scout’s connections and change the type to Parent/Guardian. Make absolutely certain that you have the right person, though, since it’s not something a unit scouter can fix. It requires action by council (or the mis-connected adult) to break the connection.

Thank you, @CharleyHamilton! The second option worked. I was able to connect him there, then go back to the Scout’s Connection screen and set him as a Parent!
