Hrm…if you’re still showing up as COR/CC, you should have access to IA2 as one of the unit Key 3. Are you totally unable to log in to IA2, or are you just unable to update advancement on the scouts?
If the latter, try checking in the upper right corner under the BSA emblem and select either the COR or CC role. In my case, as a Key 3 Delegate, I have to make sure that my K3D role is selected, rather than my parent role. Otherwise, I only have parent-level access, which doesn’t permit me to edit/approve advancements.
If that’s not the issue, maybe one of the @suac_admin can help track things down.
I have my position as Chartered Org Rep chosen (not parent). Does it need to say key position?
It shouldn’t. By definition, COR is a Key 3 position. Does it show your CC role? I wonder if the system does not intend for the COR to enter advancement data. It’s not generally something most CORs would do. Even CCs are generally not entering advancement, although they are unit-level leaders (vs chartering org level leaders), so it seems slightly more likely.
It does show my role, I am not sure how I can send you a snapshot of what I see, but it does show my position. Our Leadership team has been hit really hard this year due to Covid and lack of Parent volunteers, so I am wearing many hats. Just recently I have been able to enter advancement. I wonder what could have changed.
I wonder if there was an undocumented change that is impacting the COR role. If you select the CC role (i.e. click on it in the pull-down menu), does it permit you to enter advancement?
@JillBrownsberger I have asked the developers to take a look, because I don’t see anything obvious that might explain why you are unable to access the advancement features at IA 2.0. The closest thing I see is that your charter is pending (still needs to be processed by your council).
I tried checking my parent role and then going back to the COR role and nothing changed.
Thank you Jennifer. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Jennifer, I logged in again this morning and still cannot access Record Progress. It says that I am in as the COR, but I noticed that next to my Organization it says Family. Does that make a difference? Or, as Charley mentioned in an earlier post does something on the back end need to say that I am a Key Level in the organization?
@JillBrownsberger I have reported this to the developers.
Now I am not even attached to my own Organization! I am so frustrated with Scoutbook right now! Can anyone please fix this!!!
@JillBrownsberger I sent you a private message. Please let me know if you’d like to try a Zoom meeting / screen share.
