I renewed my self as Assistant ScoutMaster on 12/30. I am now trying to renew my youth ( I never received email to renew him). I do not have the icon to renew him when I log into my . scouting, and when I go to My Applications, he does not show up. He IS linked to me, yet I can not renew him.
When one of our other Asst. Scout Masters went in to update his merit badge progress, he said my scout is not renewed. I was never even notified that I need to renew him! I emailed our council (it bounced back) and when I call on a Sunday evening, I press a button to leave a message and it disconnects (insert facepalm emoji). Any thoughts? Guidance? All is appreciated. Thanks!
@SteveMcMichael you are not connected to Scout under your registered MID/BSA# - as a Temp fix I added your other MID to Management - if you log into my.scouting.org > click manage member ID > change the Primary to the other number > Log out > Log back into my.scouting.org - you should be able to renew your scout. After that you will want to switch your Primary MID back to the First one as that defines your Identity in BSA Systems, and do not touch other BSA systems until you have done that.
I recommend that you contact your local council and ask them to use the Registrar Tools to look up your children. When they look up your children, they want to check your childrenâs âUser Relationshipâ and make sure that your children are connected to you as parent with Only your correct BSA member ID number

Set your primary back to your registered number now, before you log into scoutbook.
I have a similar problem, but I canât seem to make this work for me. I received a notice in November that my son was going to expire so I went in and entered my cc info and selected automatic renewal. I thought it would renew at the end of the year. However, he has now expired. I left a message with my council rep yesterday, but the call has not been returned. I too am a leader and wonder if that is part of the problem. Thank you in advance for your assistance.
@KellyMcCagg once process is started no one hear can see much - so council is best bet - registrar specifically for most councils

I just set up my sons account and his membership expired in December, but I cannot seem to find where to renew it. I didnât get an email, and I donât see the notification bell. I was told to set up an account for myself and link it to his, but I canât figure out how to do that either.
@ShaneToner Go to my.Scouting.org and create an account (username / login) for yourself, using your name and date of birth.
You have a BSA member ID number already, you just need to match with it.
