As advancement chair I review partial merit badges to see what requirements need to be completed. I am able to view requirements for merit badges with unassigned counselors. But I cannot view any merit badge that has an assigned counselor. I get a “Whoops! We encountered an error trying to process your request” message. This occurs with every scout.
@DianePierzinski we have heard of an issue like this but have not seen it yet. Can you give a clear example form you account of the MID of a Scout (no name) and the Specific MB.
Also please give the EXACT steps you are taking to get the error.
Example: in Legacy Scoutbook, I go to Roster, click Scout, etc
Login to Scoutbook
Select troop (I manage 2 troops)
Select Patrol
Select scout (MID 13955079)
Select scout merit badges (I can see all merit badges both partials and completed
Select personal mgmt. (22% completed) and has assigned counselor
Get error message
This also happens with Communication (assigned counselor) but not with Camping or Cit in World (unassigned counselor)
@DianePierzinski So you select Scout > Select the New Merit Badges Option > then what are you doing?
Are you clicking View as MBC or View as Leader?
No. after I select Scout. there is a list of options (left hand side under Awards section) the list starts with edit profile and ends with reports. I select GG’s merit Badges which is inbetween GG’s awards and GG’s leadership. GG’s merit badges then takes me to a page that lists all her merit badges.
@DianePierzinski- If i click on a scout’smerit badge in the list I get this sceen next:
yes I get this screen when I click on any merit badge that does not have an assigned merit badge counselor.

I can not click on anything next BECAUSE when I select a merit badge that has an assigned counselor it gives me the error message
So you get the error before you get to the above page? or when you click on something on that page?
before - I never get to the page.

Yeah - I do not so that is the fun
