In Scoutbook, there’s a default grouping called Unassigned for members who aren’t currently placed in a den. When scouts decide not to return to our pack, they’re often left in this Unassigned group rather than being removed from the pack entirely. In the past, one of our leaders created a “fake” or temporary den to move these non-returning scouts into, just to keep the Unassigned list clean and make it easier to find and process new members.
The challenge we’re running into is that when non-returning scouts pile up in the Unassigned group, it becomes harder to identify and assign new scouts to their correct dens. The temporary den has helped with organization, but I’m wondering how other packs handle this situation.
Are we missing a better way to remove or sort non-returning scouts in Scoutbook? Or is using a temporary den the best method to keep things organized?
