I believe I fumbled into the fix but why are some of our new and existing Den Leaders without Connections to their Scouts? They are Den Leaders assigned to these Dens. In fact, I think my question should be, “Why are there differently named positions for Den Leaders of certain ranks?” Why is there a “Tiger Den Leader” and “Webelos Den Leader” but Wolf, Bear, and now AoL get just “Den Leader”? This causes us to continually have to update adult leader positions almost every year. Why? Just make all Den Leaders “Den Leader” and call it a day. It will save us all a lot of issues and work.

Den leaders need to be den admins to be automatically connected to the scouts in their dens.
Tiger Den Leader, Den Leader and Webelos Den Leader are all registered positions. Den Leader is used for Lion, Wolf, Bear and now AOL. This is just how the BSA registered den leaders. The SUAC has advocated dropping Tiger and Webelos den leaders but we do not know if the BSA will agree with us and make this change.
