Our Assistant Scoutmaster that works with the new Scouts is unable to pick any other Scouts besides his son when using the Quick Entry function. What do we need to do for him to be able to do that?
Scouters are not necessarily connected to any scouts in Scoutbook/SB+ based solely on their registered positions, except for Key 3 and Key 3 Delegates, who are automatically supposed to be added as Unit Admins (and therefore automatically connected to all scouts). A unit admin will need to connect the ASM to the scouts with at least Edit Advancement permissions in order for the scouter to edit their advancement data.
I find that the easiest way to manage connections in Scoutbook is via the Connections Manager from the unit roster page in Scoutbook:
Scoutbook → My Dashboard → Administration → My Units → Troop XYZ → Troop Roster
then scroll down to Connections Manager at the bottom.
Note that this does not automatically connect the ASM to any new scouts in the future, and would have to be manually repeated each time a new scout is added.
Another approach, assuming that the new scouts are all assigned to one patrol, would be to set the ASM as a Patrol Admin, which would allow the ASM to be automatically connected to all new scouts. However, they would also have Full Control access (read/write) to all of the scouts’ information (at least those in that patrol).
You can read more about how permissions work at the Scoutbook help wiki here:

and there’s a getting started video that talks more about permissions and advancement recording in Scoutbook here:

Thanks for the answer. Right now, we just have 2 new Scouts, so they’re not in their own patrol. We’ll use the Connections method you suggested.
