Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Trying to get acclimated in SB+ and I was immediately greeted with “pending items” in the roster. Many are items that I’m guessing parents entered but in looking at the actual activity, I am not seeing any information about who entered the item. Am I just missing it?
@BrianStockton - so it could have been a scout, parent or unit admin. I do not think the audit log will hold much detail. The source could be the scouting app or scoutbook +. Best bet is to ask the scout since it is their record.
Thank you all for the comments. What I am hearing is that there isn’t currently any way to audit that information. I do appreciate the recommendation to ask the scout. I often do ask them before I approve items but I would like to know the source of the entry since some parents can be a little overstepping at times. This isn’t to say the scout didn’t actually do the activity, but I often find the scout was not the initiator. In a troop setting I believe the scout should lead their own journey and have conversations with the adult leaders to get these types of things approved. This also helps define the roles and keeps the adult leaders in the loop and more connected to the scouts. Just my .02. YMMV
Thanks.
