Thank you for explaining that! I had no idea.
I’ll contact the council and see if I can get it resolved.
I’m receiving this warning as well. Can someone please help me?
BSA # 12882664
Thank you,
Keegan Daley
@KeeganDaley You and your Scout are both using the same e-mail address.
If you are using Gmail, then you could add a “+” and some stuff after it to make your Scout’s e-mail unique from yours. The BSA’s systems would view them as unique, but they would both go to your original Gmail inbox. Something like:
I am getting the same warning on another person using same email, if you can help.
SB 12623843
I am also a den leader and need admin acess to update all scouts status in scoutbook. The Pack leader says he has granted access to both me and my wife’s email but still cannot update achievements/badges etc.
We think it may be due to the dual email use. Any help is appreciated!
@RoopiRomanik You are logged in under the wife’s my.scouting username / login.
You need to log in under your own username / login.
I didn’t realize I had one. But thank you, will track down and give it a try!
I’m getting the same error. I have an old account it seems still linked to my kids as primary with address (removed by moderator) that I can’t get rid of.
My SB User ID:
9447520
BSA Member ID:
134421996
I’m linked to my 3 boys C, A and K, but this old account needs to be deleted. If I don’t have access to the old email address, how do I remove it.
I am looking into this for you
I found 4 BSA Member IDs (MID), 2 my.scouting.org and 4 Scoutbook accounts for you.
I have merged the Scoutbook and my.scouting.org IDs. Use the my.scouting.org ID that is the portion of your e-mail address before the @ to log in.
I placed your 3 inactive MIDs on your my.scouting.org ID as secondary.
I recommend contacting your Council and having them add your children to your record using the relationships tab of registrar tools. Currently there are only connections to C and J.
I also found 2 Scoutbook IDs from your son C. I have merged these accounts as well.
Thanks for the help!
