Welcome! This forum has a treasure trove of great info – Scouters helping Scouters! Just a heads up, though - all content, information, and opinions shared on this forum are those of the author, not the BSA.
Are those rights tied to ScoutBook positions? I added a leader as “Unit Outdoors / Activities Chair,” which I think used to give the correct rights in SB, but said leader didn’t have the “Edit Event” option on the new IA/SB+/advancements.scouting.org calendar.
BSA ID 14771351 was trying to edit a weekend event 9-27-24.
I added his outdoor chair position just this morning trying to figure this out, so that could have been a propagation delay. But he’s been ASM for a long time and, like your link says, that should have given him rights, too.
There’s only one unit listed on the event with no subunits.
Hi all. I read the support link above and am still not sure what role to assign people. We have three adult volunteers that we want to make our calendar committee who are responsible for updating the calendar for the whole Troop. What role should we assign them to? Assistant Scoutmaster doesn’t work unless we assign them to all the patrols. Troop admin?
@JamesDecker2 - what is their registered position ? If they are registered on the committee I would say activities chair. Unit admin is a full control over all scouts so use that wisely.
So our main admin changed my role to Troop Admin and I still can only schedule events for the three patrols that I am assigned to and not the whole unit. Somewhat lost as to what role I need to schedule events for the whole troop.
