Which system should parents and leaders use to update address, phone number, email?

Our unit is transitioning to ScoutBook after many false starts. One aspect of that is that many leaders and parents have moved, changed email addresses, or changed phone numbers since their original registration and need to update an aspect of their contact information for BSA. Does it matter where they do that, in ScoutBook or at my.scouting.org? Given that there are multiple databases behind all that, it is not clear where it is best done.


Currently address changes etc. need to be done in both my.scouting.org and Scoutbook. There is work in progress to unify the profile management function so it only needs to be updated once but we do not know when that will be ready.
