I am trying to print out our troops individual advancement report (advancement history report) for our first meeting tomorrow and I am suddenly not able to do it. I’ve been able to do it all year without any problem until just now. If I go through Scoutbook Plus the way that it shows you to online, I get this message:
The information is unavailable. Try again or report this to the forums (112).

If I go through Scoutbook the old way by going to the scouts page and navigating to reports and advancement history, I get this message:
Access to report is denied. You do not have required positions/permissions to run this report.

I am on the committee/Advancement chair and have had full access to this until the most recent update. Oddly enough, prior to that update I was unable to pull up a purchase report and now I can do it, but where I could pull up an advancement report before, I now can’t pull up an advancement report except for my son and my son only. I did verify more than once that I was on my troop profile and not the parent one as well.
Any insight? I’m not sure what to do here…. I’ve had no problems all year. And I can still update and approve rank and completed merit badges. That hasn’t changed either.
I’m our troop Advancement Chair as well as a Troop Admin, and had no issues having access to reports, getting ranks or merit badges updated prior to the change.
I am also unable to pull up a purchase/advancement report from a PO. Currently, I don’t get any message, just a blank screen. Earlier this week I got a message that I didn’t have the required positions/permissions to tun that report. I’m not sure if I’m going forward or backward in getting access to the report.
Additionally, I also found that I cannot pull Scout BSA history reports in Sccoutbook+, even for my son. The message I receive for that is:
The information is unavailable. Try again or report this to the forums (95.9)

It’s definitely very frustrating but I’m hoping to get it figured out before tomorrows meeting. We don’t have a large troop so it won’t take forever to do, but it does take some time to do for sure. We had a LOT of badges earned at camp especially so want to make sure they are all updated on their progress because most of them don’t go onto scoutbook. (we will hopefully change that this year.)
@NicoleBarton Ask the unit’s Key 3 (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, or Chartered Org. Rep.) to use the Position Manager at my.Scouting and designate you as Unit Advancement Chair there.
You will need to wait for the overnight sync to run, but the next day you will have full access in Scoutbook (legacy) and Scoutbook Plus.
@JenniferOlinger I don’t know about @NicoleBarton ‘s situation, but both my Charter Rep and my Committee Chair, as well as our Council Customer Service Rep have already confirmed that I have all the access I am supposed to have as Unit Advancement Chair and Troop Admin. I still don’t have the ability to pull the reports I mentioned above - there’s definitely an error that needs to be found.
