My Advancement Chair and Myself Were Able to Run A Purchase Order, But Not The Advancement Report

My advancement chair was trying to run the advancement report today and was only able to run the purchase order to print. For some reason it was only populating her own scout on the advancement report. I also went in to try and do the same thing and it only showed my own scout on the advancement report. For reference I am the committee chair on the roster and she is the advancement chair on the roster.

Is there some kind of bug going on?

Luckily the scout shop allowed her to purchase our awards at the scout shop this morning.

@MelissaEddings- are all of the items on a po

Yes, over 80 plus awards were populated on it. She has been doing her position for years.

@MelissaEddings what is the Advancement Chairs Member # (no names)

12212220 member id

Would be best for her to get on here so we can work the issue first person I think.

She is a doctor and her personal time is limited. She won’t get on this forum. I emailed our local council to see what is going on.

And they were just given PO Permission today. Was that before - so the permission might not be in full effect

Advancement Chairs do Not have permission to POs by default. They have to be given as someone gave the person today.

I would have Key 3 review these 2 links - A major focus of the migration to Scoutbook Plus is to have positions mirror the positions shown in My.Scouting to ensure positions were reflected accurately in both platforms. The main purpose it to honor the guidance of our charter organizations and the positions they approve. Therefore, Scoutbook Plus does not use Legacy Scoutbook positions. Registered positions are used to provide base permissions. Some additional permissions can be added by the unit, however, there are restrictions on what can be given. See the updated Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video for more details.

She already had the permissions in scoutbook plus. She used it 3 months ago for our last COH awards. I am also encountering the same issue and I have full access to everything as committee chair. Just to be safe I went and updated everyone’s permissions today and will check back in 24 hours. I still think it is a glitch though.

3 Months ago it was not SB+ permissions - then it still worked of Legacy stuff. It is different now

I understand that, but I have full access as I double checked all of my permissions as committee chair and I am getting the exact same errors as her.

So if you run the PO it only shows your scout?

Yes. 3 different people tried to run the report that have full access to everything. Myself (the committee chair), another key3 person, and our advancement chair. I hope our council can figure out what is going on next week.

Sorry, I didn’t read that properly. It shows all the scouts on the purchase order, but the advancement report on the same page only shows our own scout and nobody else. It did this for 3 different people. It has to be a glitch.

@DonovanMcNeil - i just tested the advancement report from a PO and I get a white page and no report.

Is the Dropdown in the top right set to the correct position for the user?

are you talking this page?

The Advancement Report from the Quick Reports?

OH the AR from the Purchase Order. I see.

yeah it is blank for me - I bet it is falling to your scout in unit - it is reported - there are a ton of report changes happening right now

Yep. Now it is giving me an error that I am not logged in, instead of populating my own scout into the report.
