I have an adult leader who sent me the pdf certificate he got for completing the YPT. The certificate says “Completed 04-06-2025”. It’s still not showing on the online report on my.scouting, at least on my end, and it seems it’s the same from the Council’s view, because they said they can’t renew his account. What could be the reason and what can be done? Member ID 133949412 - I compared it on the Certificate and my.scouting - it’s the same.
I wonder if us opting him out during unit renewal prep could be the reason? This leader only recently decided that he’s going to help out at the summer camp, so we need to make sure he’s fully registered.
It could be a couple of things, including a different account. Since you already ruled that out by comparing the Member IDs, the next most common thing I’ve seen is users not actually completing all four modules in the required 60-day window (i.e. from starting the first module to completing the last one).
If you can see the scouter’s name in your my.scouting roster, you can try checking their training listings for four courses:
SCO_3008
SCO_3009
SCO_3010
SCO_3011
If not all of them are within a 60-day window, that’s what’s wrong. You have to complete all four modules every time you renew YPT in that time window.

The roster doesn’t show any training for me, but the “Trained Leaders Status” does. It doesn’t show the ones you listed for anybody though. What I see for this leader is the following: COMPLETED: S11, SCO_800 - 66% (2/3) TO DO: Y01 COMPLETED: - 0% (0/1) TO DO: S24 COMPLETED: - 0% (0/15) TO DO: SCO_471, SCO_472, SCO_473, SCO_474, SCO_475, SCO_476, SCO_477, SCO_478, SCO_479, SCO_480, SCO_481, SCO_482, SCO_484, SCO_485, SCO_530
A Unit Key 3 scouter, a Key 3 Delegate or the Training Chair can access the Training Manager at my.scouting, and pull the detailed training completions for any scouter in the unit. The Training Manager appears in the left-side pull-down menu when you select your unit.
Click the Add/Search button on the resulting menu and then select the Search Training tab. It feeds you a roster you can select from, or you can enter info for the scouter to locate them.
So he did something today, maybe finished any missing modules, I’m not sure exactly what, but his YPT is now showing as done with today’s date. Thank you all for helping!
Respectfully, unless it’s the intended behavior that a certificate (which says a user completed YPT) should be issued without completing all four modules in the specified timeframe, it is by definition a bug (i.e. not the intended behavior).
