Adult has multiple BSA IDs, can they be merged

One of my parents has had issues getting logged in and managed to create multiple accounts. He has been doing training under this ID on my scouting: 141189887 so we want to make sure we keep that, but the ID for the profile connected to his son is 141493988.

Can we get these accounts merged? Keeping the first as the primary. We don’t want him to lose all the training he’s done.

Thanks,
Chris

@Chris.Peterson I have put both member ID numbers under Manage Member ID at my.Scouting.

The local council will need to fix his parent / child “Relationships” using their Registrar Tools. Right now, he is “Son of” his child, which can cause problems.

His son’s name is the same as his, though they don’t use Jr. I can’t view his record now. It shows this.

@Chris.Peterson The local council needs to look up the parent under MID 141493988 and fix his “Relationships” using their Registrar Tools.

@Chris.Peterson Now it looks like the Relationships are backwards, where the Dad (MID 141493988) shows as “Son of” the Scout (MID 141097843), and the Scout shows as “Father of” the Dad.

I asked our registrar to fix it because you said that’s how it originally was. I can’t even see the dad in Scoutbook any more after her update. She said it would sync overnight.

@Chris.Peterson I can check again tomorrow, but right now the Relationships are backwards.

MID 141493988 - Is the parent
MID 141097843 - Is the Scout

The Registrar should probably start by removing the “Relationships”, and then add them back.

I sent the information you provided to the registrar but now she’s out all week. I still can’t see the dad’s record any longer.

Just wanting to keep this open until our registrar gets back and can look at it again.

@JenniferOlinger our registrator said she fixed this but the dad’s info is showing as undefined when I click into his profile.

@Chris.Peterson I think this is fixed, although you might need to wait for the overnight sync to run.

Also, the Dad has 2 usernames (logins) at my.Scouting. They might need to be merged.

It’s been a few days. I mentioned to her the multiple usernames also. Thanks.

@Chris.Peterson I made some changes tonight, so please see if you can access it tomorrow.

@JenniferOlinger
Unfortunately still showing as undefined for his profile.

@Chris.Peterson

What is the number at the end of the URL when you see undefined.undefined on the profile?

@edavignon
This is the number 13837053

@Chris.Peterson

The Scout’s name is properly recorded in the Scoutbook database. Have you tried accessing his profile after logging in to an Incognito or Private window? I’m suspecting a cache issue.

@edavignon

Same result in an incognito window.

The dad has two usernames. One is first initial, middle initial, last name. The other is an Apple login. Which does he want to keep?
