Awards Not Showing as "To Purchase"

Hello!

I’ve marked some awards as completed and approved in various scouts, but their awards are not showing in the Advancement Workflow causing me to miss earned awards in purchasing and awarding.

Any help? They aren’t in the To Approve section either… and don’t show up in the To Award.

@JBlakeParker and they are approved? there are known issues like this with Awards that are being worked on. What awards and What is an example Scout Member #? (no names)

They are approved, yes. Happens with multiple scouts.

Specifically one I know is 141211251 Bobcat (Bear) and Bear Strong.

I do. These awards should have been on it, but was never in the queue to add to a PO, like they should have been.

It looks like slowly but surely they’re starting to appear. A new scout every few days…

Like 141211251’s awards didn’t appear on the “To Award” list until just recently, regardless of PO status.

I am advancement chair and I have marked a rank advancement as earned as of 10/2/25. I cannot get it show up on purchase orders for when I go to the scoutshop. I only see the merit badges. How can I get advancements to show up.

I am also getting error messages when I try to download CVS report of the awards. Says I do not have permission but I do Advancement Chair as an assignment position.

When I try to print reports I get the following error:

@KatieGrassel- approved is what typically gets it to a point of purchase

@KatieGrassel The issue might be that you do not have the Unit Advancement Chair functional role at my.Scouting. It ended a while back. Your troop’s leadership can add it back for you. After they add it back, you will need to wait for the overnight sync to run.

can you please walk me through how to tell my other people how to give me rights. I am technology specialist and I do all the tech side for our troop. Most other leaders can’t even login, if you know what I mean.

One of the troop’s Key 3 (Scoutmaster, Committee Chair, or Chartered Org. Rep.) or a Key 3 Delegate:

  1. Log in to their account at my.Scouting.org.
  2. Click on the “Menu” button.
  3. Click on the down arrow/carat under “Organization” and select the troop.
  4. Select “Organization Manager” or “Roster”.
  5. Click “Position Manager”.
  6. Click the “Functional Roles” tab.
  7. Under “Unit Advancement Chair”, click on “Add +”.
  8. Select your name.
  9. Click “OK” to save.
  10. Wait for the overnight sync to run.

If your unit Key 3 are really that technology challenged, you might consider discussing with them making you a Key 3 Delegate. That would put you in a position to handle most (although not all) of the technology interface elements both in terms of advancement and at my.scouting (except for managing registered scouter positions, which must be done by the COR or COR Delegate). That said, Key 3 Delegate is something of the keys to the kingdom, so I would make sure everyone was clear on what the scope they’re looking for you to cover is. It’s easy to break things with K3/K3D access.

I was a key 3 to help facilitate that. But we have a strong personality that does not enjoy working with other people that went in and changed my role.

I will say I love working with the kids, but man some adults need to get over the power trip.

I am seeing the same issue…merit badges show up in the purchase report, but not rank advancement. Our advancement chair has same issue as I do. I am thinking there is a bug in Scoutbook Plus.

This is a known issue. The developers are working on a solution.
