I have a scout in our unit that has 2 profiles in Scoutbook. It looks like one profile is linked to Troop 228. The other profile is linked to Troop 1534. Everything in the profiles look to be identical. I need the scout to only be in Troop 228. how do I correct this issue? Member ID 137087734
Thank you,
Dennis
@DennisDeMars Go to the [Scout]'s Membership page in Scoutbook. Click on the membership in the other troop, then add a Date Ended.
Jennifer,
thank you, this corrected that issue. I still have an issue in Scoutbook. This scout has a profile in Troop 228 Patrol 2 and Troop 228 Scouts Not in a Patrol. Should I assign the profile that is not in a Patrol to Patrol 2 or will that give him 2 profiles in Patrol 2?
thank you,
Dennis
@DennisDeMars On the Scoutās Membership page, click on the troop membership, make sure the āPosition Approvedā box is checked, and add a Date Ended.
Leave the patrol membership as is.
Let me know if you get disconnected from the Scout.
Jennifer,
This did not correct the problem.
Dennis
@DennisDeMars I have fixed it for you.
Please check the Scoutās Leadership page. Make sure that his current leadership position(s) are still there and current. Plus, make sure that they are approved (green shield with checkmark).
It looks like you will need to bring back the Scoutās ASPL position and re-approve it.
Jennifer,
I was at a meeting, logged back into Scoutbook, it looks like the Scouts profile is corrected. I did not do anything with the leadership positions. Maybe, my session was not refreshing properly.
Thank you for your help.
Dennis
@DennisDeMars I fixed the Scoutās Membership for you.
However, you will need to fix his ASPL leadership position. It was ended when I ended his troop membership (not in a patrol).
Also, make sure his ASPL leadership position is approved (green shield with checkmark).
Hi,
I can no longer see my scouts in Scoutbook. I used to have two membership IDs, but according to scouting.org one of them no longer exists: 135686596. Iām guessing that the one that was deleted was tied to my scouts?
I searched for their member IDs, but the search only found one of the two kids! I added the one that was found to my account, but I still canāt see any of his info! I click on his name and it just goes back to my home screen.
Can someone help?
Thanks!
Bruce
@BruceBehrens Im going to sent you a private message. Look for the indicator in the upper right.
I am a parent with two sons in scouting in different Troops and two accounts in scoutbook.scouting.org. My older son is in Troop 575 and my younger son is in Troop 571. In the first Scoutbook account, My Dashboard shows the older son (Troop 575) but Manage Member ID says āyou donāt have any memberships yetā. In the second Scoutbook account, My Dashboard shows my younger son (Troop 571) and Manage Member ID shows my younger sonās Member ID (13771316), Council and is marked PRIMARY. How can I merge? I have my own (old) BSA Member ID 127032437 but itās in neither account.
Do both of your parent accounts have different email addresses? While logged in to the āotherā parent account, I would add the āpreferredā parent account as a parent connection to the scout who is connected to the āotherā parent account. Then, the preferred account would be connected to both scouts as a parent. You would still have an extraneous account, but at least you have access while you straighten out the rest of the situations.
You should be able to add the parent account by searching based on email address.
Hey SUAC, I think I need you to merge two Scoutbook users, #4980021 and #136160863. I think that will fix my problem of one person with two scout book accounts, one for each son. Thanks!
@TimothyKeck
I will send you a private message. Look for a green circle with a number on top of the orange circle with white T in the upper right corner of your forum window.
Hello all, Iām the Scoutbook admin for my Troop. I have an ASM with two Scoutbook accounts - because of two BSA Member IDs. I need to get them merged/linked.
The two member IDs are 12703938 & 13091332.
12703938 is the BSA Member ID that is listed on the Troopās current charter - but he appears to be logging into the account that is linked to 13091332.
The 12703938 account has changeyouremail@scoutbook.com listed as his email address, whereas the other account has his real email address.
I can provide the Scoutbook UserIDs if those are required.
How can I get his two accounts merged or linked in both Scoutbook and My.Scouting?
Thanks,
Ry
@RyanBurke1 I actually see a third one for him, 134110152. And possibly a 4th with his sons DOB, unless he has a son with the same name.
Of the two that you mentioned, one has a different first name. So, Iād contact your council registrar to get all of those merged before we do anything on the Scoutbook side. Once those are all cleaned up, we can make Scoutbook match if your council registrar isnāt able to.
Thanks @jacobfetzer ! Yes, he has a son with the same name as him. Iāll let him know he has a third number as well - 134110152.
Thanks for the heads up.
I have a Merit Badge Counselor and STEM Coordinator account that needs to be merged in SB.
13646755 looks like the one we have on Charter and the one with the email they login with.
114310393 is the older account/ID they used with a different council.
Could you merge them together?
Also confirm they should use the Scouting ID and password to login with, not an email address?
@JohnDurrer - this is done
