Den leader unable to award items in SB+

I have a Den leader who is unable to award adventures in SB+. The quick feature has no options to approve or award items for the den leader. Our CM went through the new permissions and everything is assigned correctly for roles and permissions. What are we missing?

If you post the Scouting America Member ID for the scouter (no names, please!), the SUAC can investigate further. I’m assuming you’ve already checked that the scouter’s registration is current in the official roster at my.scouting.

It’s been observed that the permissions don’t appear to be sticking for scouters registered in a “named” den leader registered position (e.g. Tiger DL or Webelos DL). Is that the case for this scouter? If so, your Key 3 could move their registered position in SB+ to “plain” den leader, and see if that resolves the issue.

ETA: Also verify that the DL is assigned to a den in SB+ roster. Otherwise, the system isn’t sure how to apply the permissions.

ETA2:

@MariaBaker1 if you want help - we need specific information like the Users member # (not name.). Quick Entry leads to a 403 error and that is a known issue

Here is the member ID. 14169650 When the leader goes to advancements and try’s to do the approve or award features there is no option. He can only enter new awards or advancements. All the other roles are listed correctly our CM made sure this morning

@MariaBaker1 I saw this earlier with a user - and it was a cache issue. Have them clear the cache or check with an incognito window

Unfortunately we’ve tried that multiple times with no success

I am an Assistant Cub Master, and I cannot click on a scout to see his/her history, let alone award adventures.

@TamDuong

You need your Key 3 to give you additional permissions in Scoutbook Plus. See Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video.

@TamDuong there seems to be a cache issue today - try an incognito window or clear your cache

I am a den leader and having a similar problem, as are most other den leaders in my pack. In my case, I can see the roster but I cannot click on any scout nor can I add advancements for any scout. I have cleared my cache, switched browsers multiple times, used mobile and desktop. Nothing works. I emailed support and was told to come here.

@WendyTsao you are not a Den Leader - you are registered as a Committee Member - if you want DL access you need to register as a DL. Or the Key 3 need to rig the permissions to work for you.

But I am a den leader and have been for over a year.

@WendyTsao- no Committee Member is your registered position and the den admin is NOT a den leader. If you log into my.scouting.org you will see your registered position there

If you want to see your registered positions go to my.scouting.org > click My Profile.

That is Legacy Scoutbook with a fake position for you of Den admin - that is a retired position

Why would this have changed in the last 2 weeks?

The first post explains this

Hello! Seems that I am having the same issue. Couple weeks ago I was able to update but it looks like myself and one other person in my pack is having trouble inputting advancements. My ID is 141771385. Tried Incognito and still had the same issue. “403 You cannot access this trail”.

Help is appreciated!

@JasonMeyer2 you are a committee member - you have very few permissions by default. Your Key 3 need to look at these and take needed actions - The Scoutbook Plus permission system has changed. Admin roles in legacy Scoutbook do not apply to Scoutbook Plus. See Scoutbook_Permissions.pdf and the Scoutbook Plus permissions video.

I’ll reach out to our Pack leader as I believe he’s acting as all 3 right now.
